The Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni, led yet another successful multidisciplinary High-Density #OperationShanela2 in the Vanderbijlpark policing precinct, Sedibeng District, where 59 illegal immigrants were apprehended.
Two firearms were recovered and two suspects were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms, and three individuals were arrested for possession of drugs. Three liquor outlets were closed for non-compliance with the regulations.
The provincial detectives arrested 964 wanted suspects, with 253 for crimes against women and children, overnight.
