A 45-year-old male suspect from Seagull Road, Pelican Heights, is in police custody after he was caught with a firearm and eight plastic bags containing mandrax tablets. The suspect was apprehended by members of #OperationLockdown3 on Tuesday, 05 May 2026, at approximately 22:00.
The members received information about suspected criminal activities at the mentioned address. Upon arrival, they searched the premises and detected mandrax tablets that were concealed in a dog food packet. Further probe led to the recovery of a .38 special revolver, with 34 rounds of ammunition.
The suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and possession of drugs. Once charged, the suspect will make his first court appearance at the Wynberg Magistrate’s court. #fightingcrime #DrugsOffTheStreets #GunsOffTheStreets
