POLOKWANE – The relentless efforts by members of the Limpopo Provincial Flying Squad, in collaboration with Tracker Connect and Nare Anti-Poaching Security, led to the arrest of three foreign nationals aged between 29 and 35 linked to serious crimes across the province.
The operation took place between 17:45 on Sunday, 09 November 2025, and 06:00 on Monday, 10 November 2025.
Members of the unit were activated following information about a grey Toyota Etios allegedly used by suspects wanted for several cases of burglary, cable theft, and solar battery theft committed in Mogwadi policing area outside Senwabarwana during March and October 2025. The same vehicle was reportedly involved in recent cable theft incidents in Mamahule, Polokwane policing area, and was also linked to similar crimes in the Groblersdal area.
Upon interception, police discovered that the vehicle was fitted with false registration plates and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) had been tampered with, confirming suspicions that it was stolen. All three suspects were immediately arrested and linked to the series of offences.
Further charges of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle and contravention of the Immigration Act (illegal immigration) were also added. The suspects are expected to appear before their respective Magistrate’s Courts soon.
Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, commended the team for their outstanding performance and coordinated effort.
