Three people have been injured, one seriously so after the vehicle they were in lost control and rolled several times coming to rest in the centre medium on the N2 South just before Umgeni Road just after 04:30am today.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on scene to find that one of the passengers had been ejected from the wreckage whilst it was rolling. She had sustained serious injuries and Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to assist in stabilizing her. The other two occupants of the vehicle sustained moderate injuries and were stabilized on scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the single vehicle to lose control and overturn however SAPS will be investigating further.
