At approximately 18:34, the KZN VIP Control Centre received a distress call from a concerned community member reporting a break-in at a residence in Thornyhill, Newlands West. In response, all available KZN VIP response officers were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers interviewed the complainant, who reported that upon returning home, they discovered the rear door had been forcibly opened. An undisclosed amount of valuables had been stolen. At this time, the exact timing of the break-in and the number of suspects involved remain unconfirmed.
