The #SAPS Free State Murder and Robbery Unit continues to investigate the fatal shooting incident that occurred on Thursday, 14 May 2026, on the R76 between Tweeling and Reitz. The incident resulted in four fatalities and one person sustaining serious injuries.
The deceased have been positively identified by their next of kin as Lekiba Likhetho (24), Rebone Moeketsi (26), Pule Latela (32), and Tshepang Cecilia Letsoha (27). All four deceased are Kingdom of Lesotho nationals. The surviving victim remains in hospital receiving medical treatment.
No arrests have been made at this stage, and investigations are ongoing.
