A swift police response to reports of a shooting in Humansdorp led to the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of a stolen firearm.
On Friday, 02 May 2025, at approximately 10:45, Humansdorp SAPS received a complaint about a shooting incident in the Maak ‘n Las area. Police immediately responded and, while en route, spotted two suspects fleeing the scene. A foot chase ensued, resulting in the apprehension of two 18-year-old males. A firearm, later confirmed as stolen in Rawsonville, Cape Town, in 2014, was seized.
The suspects are expected to appear before the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm in a municipal area.
