The Durban Metro Police Service, working jointly with specialised units, executed a successful operation today targeting a trucking company suspected of issuing false dangerous goods permits.
A court-authorised search warrant was carried out, resulting in the recovery of:
1. A fire department dangerous goods certificate book
2. 33 fake certificates
3. A fire department stamp
4. Laptops, desktops, and cellphones
5. 12 USB drives
These fraudulent permits pose a serious risk to driver safety, the public, and the environment. The recovery of these items has disrupted the illegal operations and ensured that accountability is enforced.
Units Involved:
- EITT
- TSU
- Durban Metro Police Trio Crimes Unit
- Fire Department
We commend the collaboration of all units involved for their dedication in protecting the community and upholding the law.
