Members of Operation Shanela II deployed in Manenberg area executed search warrants at identified premises in the Manenberg area on Sunday, 07 September 2025, and searched a premises in Stormsriver Road upon which they found 81 plastic packets containing dagga, 1513 dagga cigarettes, and five big packets containing dagga.
A 40-year-old male was subsequently arrested for the possession of dagga.
In an unrelated matter, members of a Operation Shanela II deployed in Delft area searched a premises in Sandriver Crescent and arrested a 47-year-old female for the possession of dagga. The members seized two parcels dagga, 78 dagga cigarettes, 70 small packets containing dagga and 29 small dagga cigarettes.
The suspects will appear in the Athlone and Bellville Magistrates’ Courts on Monday, 08 September 2025, respectively.
