Members of Visible Policing Unit in Mangaung Metro and Public Order Police Unit Bloemfontein operators conducted a roadblock as part of #OperationShanela II on N1 National Road, Navalsig Police Station precinct.
During the roadblock, 197 motor vehicles and 419 persons were searched.
A 39-year-old foreign national was placed under arrest for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. Other information emerged that the arrested foreign national is wanted for a serious crime in his country of origin.
