[Vanderbijlpark, GP – 08 August 2012 at 08h00]
Two drivers have sustained moderate injuries after a collision between two light motor vehicles on the R59 and Belfos Boulevard this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the driver of the Audi entrapped inside of the vehicle. The Jaws of Life was used to extricate the driver from the vehicle. He was treated for suspected neck and back injuries and multiple cuts. The patient was transported to Sebokeng Hospital for further medical care.
The driver of the Mazda was treated for suspected neck and back injuries and general body pains. He was stabilised on scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical intervention.
The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
