Four people were injured this afternoon, two of them children, when three vehicles collided on the R500 in Carletonville.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the three vehicles in the middle of the road. All of the occupants were found walking around on the scene.
Three vehicles, a light motor vehicle, a bakkie and a SUV had been involved in the collision. Paramedics assessed all the occupants and found that four people from the bakkie had sustained minor injuries.
A male, 4 month pregnant woman, 3-year-old girl and 18 month old boy had sustained minor injuries in the collision. Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Carletonville Hospital for further observations.
It is understood that smoke from a nearby veld fire had been a factor in the collision.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
