On Monday 9 February 2026, Team DCS was conducting patrols to gather intelligence on mini substations that were being vandalized in the area.
During the operation, a random visit to a well-known house in the area was initiated.
A search was done outside the property and one particular individual stood out due to his nervous behavior.
4 bags containing crystal and 5 Mandrax tablets were found on the said individual. He was eager to cooperate and provided information about his supplier.
With the assistance of Edenpark SAPS, a visit to the supplier’s girlfriend was arranged.
The girlfriend attempted to divert the police from searching her room, claiming her parents were sleeping, but SAPS insisted on conducting a search.
Various drugs, including crystal, Mandrax tablets, and dagga were found.
The police subsequently visited the boyfriend’s house, but he had fled the scene. However, he later presented himself at the station, claiming ownership of the drugs and demanding the release of his girlfriend, but she was charged.
Drugs found:
21 small bags of crystal,
3 big bags of crystal,
21 small bags of dagga,
1 big bag of dagga,
5 cellphones,
1 scale,
A small amount of cash believed to be proceeds of dealing.
All 3 suspects were detained and charged accordingly.
